ART WITH HEART | 20

Price range: £10.00 through £40.00

Inspiration:

I have created a number of unique abstract heart paintings to fundraise for The Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Art Fund after my mum received a life-changing heart transplant in July 2023. 30% of all profits will go to this cause. Any donation made in December 2023 will be doubled via their Doublind December campaign.

The centered heart on each canvas reflects the central role our hearts play in our survival. The colour combinations are inspired by the colour palettes of nature, paying tribute to my Mum’s love of her garden at home, and the hospital gardens which provided her with moments of peace during her hospital stay.

The abstract style is very chaotic and messy which reflects the chaotic and messy emotions experienced by us all as a family but especially by patients waiting for transplants. From the moment you are given the news that a transplant is your only option for survival, a cascade of feelings emerges. From fear of the unknown, the anxiety of waiting, and dread in those darker moments. Yet, amidst the chaos, there emerges a longing hope, the warmth of love and support from friends and family, and profound gratitude for the staff and medical professionals who sprinkle moments of joy along the journey.

The paintings are created in acrylic paint, with no animal-derived ingredients or materials in the process of their production.

Available Sizes:

20 x 20 cm Original on canvas board – only one available
